Question · Identifying the cash-generating unit

A laser cutter of Pradelle has been idle for several months and will remain so; the cash flows expected from its use are negligible. Its value in use can therefore be estimated to be close to its fair value less costs of disposal, measurable from dealer prices (given). It belongs to a workshop whose cash inflows are largely independent. There is an indication of impairment. At what level is the recoverable amount of the cutter estimated?
